The Tent

The Tent @ Clarke Quay....

the outside of the restaurant which is also like a bar...

a few pics of the interior of the restaurant.....

the place isnt exactly very big. The decor was trying to look like those old mongolian tents but not quite what we expected. We thought it would really be in the shape of tents. haha

Their menu....

their menu is actually more of a drinks menu because food is mainly taken from the different sections.

The salad section...

none of us touched this section coz it didnt appeal to us. haha...

the noodles and rice section...

they had rice, brown rice, yellow noodles, bee hoon and kway tiao.

The vege section....

the meat and seafood section...

Details of the meat and seafood section....

the sauces....

Details of some of the sauces....

they really had alot of sauces.. like terriyaki, black pepper, sweet and sour, satay, their own house special, alot more..

Basically, each person from each table will be given a token and you move along the sections with 2 bowls, one small (for the sauces) and a bigger one (for the meats and vege etc)..

they also haf 2 boards where they have recipes recommendations....

each recipe tells u the different quantity of different sauces.

this is for veggie lovers...

with the sauces and meats, you pass them to the server to cook it for u...

and they'll serve it to u according to the token.

When i first looked at the food spread, honestly, i was reminded of Seoul Garden. heh..

anyway, some of our creations....

Lynn was considered the more adventurous one whereas im usually the kind who would stick to one type of sauce. It was pretty fun coz we would always be there anticipating the results of the combinations.

Was kinda weird when we saw a notice saying " no sharing ". Weird coz we were having buffet, we didnt quite understand why. heh.

overall the food was ok except that because they usually fry everything together, meat were always overdone. Like the beef slices, they were not tender or anything.

Overall the meal was alright, costs around $30 per person (after all the +++ already)..no discount for any credit card.
