Fatty Weng

Ah yee and uncle sq came to pick me up and we headed over to Fatty Weng at Guillemard Road for dinner....

Previously, everytime we drive pass, we'll think its very quiet with no business. Little did we realise customers are all seated at the back! haha.. We used to patronise this place quite a bit when we were still really young kids. Havent been here since donkey years.

We ordered a oyster thingy ($15)...

The most expensive dish we ordered today. But it was really good. Both ah yee and uncle sq don't really take oysters but they both thought its really good. Its nicely crispy on the outside....

Vegetable we ordered the fried sweet potato leaves ($8)....

which was alright as well.

We also had a plate of sliced fish ($12) fried with spring onion...

Uncle sq commented that the side where its near the skin tasted abit chewy like squid. But overall it was not bad.

We also had a shrimp paste chicken ($12)...

It was not too bad but i feel that i've tasted better. The vegetable rice stall opposite my place used to offer better shrimp paste chicken but no longer since they changed their chef.

We also had a salted fish fried rice ($8) to share.....

The fried rice was pretty good.

Overall, the meal was pretty alright. Uncle sq and ah yee liked it much better den i did and they've since decided next time they wana ta bao they'll probably head here since its so near our place.. haha..

Wow, I just ate a little and these are making me hungry. Hahahaha. The oysters look nice. Are they the dried kind? Maybe I'll drop by once I figure out where Guillemard Rd is.
