While walking over, we placed by Seah Street Deli but the girls were not appealed by it.. also passed by Ah Teng's which tempted the girls abit but not enuff.. and so it was Menotti and Menotti won the girls over...
I managed to convince ah mah pig (Joanna) and mummy gorzilla (Elica) that the crab cakes are really good so we shared it...
The girls found it abit too saltish but went well with the sauce. Generally, they agreed its quite good as well. As for myself, of coz i loved it.
Miss piggy (Lyndi) ordered a Cassata Siciliana ($5.90)...
its a smooth ricotta cheese, dark chocolate chips and citrus fruits enrobed in pistachio marzipan....
Generally the girls liked it. I didn't like it because the pistachio marzipan has a almond taste and i don't like that.
Because they had UOB 1 for 1 promotion on their gelato (actually, its also applicable for main courses), we went for that...
We had a Spaventa ($8.90)...
sabayon, rum & raisin and chocolate chip gelato, chocolate crunch, chocolate sauce and whipped cream.
This one was quite good, the chocolate crunch was exceptionally good! Yum!
The other one was a Rugantino ($7.90)....
its strawberry and berry-yoghurt gelato, lemon sorbet, balsamico sauce, berry sauce, amaretti cookies, whipped cream. We ordered this because the combination seemed abit more fruity so i could contrast the Spaventa. Well, it really did coz in the end everyone went for the Spaventa... all of us didnt like this Rugantino. haha.. the lemon sorbet was still ok.. cant tell if its the strawberry or berry-yoghurt gelato that most of us didnt quite like.
