Dinner was at Miss Clarity Cafe...
Lea ordered an iced lemon tea....
Lea being the iced lemon tea guru, didnt like the iced lemon tea. The lemon juice taste was very strong overpowering the tea.
For mains, we shared a garlic crusted dory....
this garlic crusted dory is so good!
The fish is not covered with the breadcrumbs on both sides and i like it that way because its not thickly covered with breadcrumbs and its juicy and i can taste the fish! The seasoning is flavoursome and tastey. Fish is soft meaning its yummy!
Only complaint would be that upon eating to the center of the fish, we realised its abit uncooked.. informed the served and he took it back to the kitchen to recook it....
when it was recooked, it kinda tasted abit overcooked. haha.. but it was overall still a good dish. Lea and myself loved the taste.
Next was the seafood risotto ($9.80)...
The risotto itself has clams and squid inside. On top is mussels and a slice of dory fish...
The risotto is nicely flavoured with seafood. Its not saltish at all but very flavoursome with seafood. The dory fish was very soft and yummy. Didnt quite like the mussels though.
Next was the French Escargots Stewed with Risotto ($11.80)...
a clearer view...
initially, lea preferred this risotto to the seafood one but later she agreed with me that the seafood one is nicer. The escargots were abit hard and the rice was probably tomato paste but tasted abit soil-ish to me.
For dessert, i asked Lea to try their bread butter pudding...
she agreed its pretty good.
The whole meal came up to about $30 over (cant remember exactly how much).
This experience was much better den the previous one (not referring to the incident where they poured barley over my back). The items we ordered i felt was much yummier. heh..
