Waraku at East Coast Park...
Kinda like the way they have lanterns by the side...
the interior...
They even have private rooms. Although its decoration is somewhat the same for the Marina Square and the Cuppage outlet, i think the decorations here are more Japanese and gives a more traditional Japanese feel.
Was kinda disappointed that they no longer have the uni chawanmushi on their menu. Was informed by the server that that's last month's menu and they made some changes since then.
I tried their burnt seasoned cod roe ($5.80)...
Too salty for my liking. Didn't finish it.
Tried their 'why leaf never burn' item ($9.80)...
Ordered the beef hooba yaki. 5 pieces of beef and a mushroom.. placed over a miso spread. Didn't find it particularly yummy. Was ok i guess especially if its for the novelty but that's all.
and of coz i had to order my minced raw tuna and spring onion on rice ($9.80)
After all, this is what i'm here for! I love this dish!
Was actually full already but was tempted to try that apple shaped ice cream. But apple was out of stock so ended up with the pear instead...
its supposedly pear gelato encased in a tinted white chocolate with chocolate fudge centre. I found the pear gelato not tasting like pear.. anyway, overall i dun think its very nice. Only had a few mouth of it.
