Lavander Moon Cakes

Mum would always buy a box of snow skin because i've always preferred snow skin moon cakes (with lotsa melon seeds) to the normal kind. But as i get older, im beginning to accept the normal skin one better. But but but, generally, im not a moon cake lover though i don't mind eating it.

Anyway, this year's snow skin is from lavander....

As soon as i opened the lid, the fragrance of the snow skin diffused into the air. Four different coloured ones...

Details of the mooncakes...

The green coloured one is a green tea flavoured one with 2 egg yolks. I generally don't like egg yolks in my mooncake. But this green tea one is the nicest of the lot in my opinon. Its not too sweet with the mild green tea taste. Would be better the green tea taste is stronger and with more melon seeds. They were rather stingy with their melon seeds.

The pink coloured one is red bean. Not too sweet but i dun find it nice.

The white coloured one is the usual lotus paste with melon seeds. Found it quite nice. Again, not too sweet but tasty enough.

I regretted right when i had a piece of the yellow one. Its durian! i dun take durians! The durian taste was mild (thank god).
