WAH! Noogee House

Dinner was at Carlton Hotel's WAH! noogeez...

their Eat-All-You-Can promotion for only $22 nett... starts from 6 pm - 10 pm daily.

their menu...

their interior...

a rather contemporary feel. Overall, its a pretty quiet place which i quite like.

some of the items we ordered....

this is some pig something (is it shank?)...

Kelvin said its really nice... so i was feeling adventurous.. and.. i tried it... i didnt like it. In the first place im not someone who likes pork belly and stuff. This dish was cold and left a very strong piggy taste. I dun like it at all.

Deep Fried Octopus Tentacles...

I love this dish! The batter is not very thick but enuff to make it crispy towards the thin end and the batter's favouring was good! So yummy!

the deep fried chicken wings with shrimp sauce...

i found the chicken wings not bad. Nicely fried, crispy and the shrimp sauce was mild but overall i found it not bad. Kelvin felt it was just so so.

Deep Fried Diced Beancurd with salt and chilli.....

this dish was also very very good! The salt and chilli was so good! The beancurd was crispy on the outside, just nice on the inside. and because its in small cubes form, its so fun to eat!

the chicken feet...

it was the hard kind which i didnt find it nice.. and it definitely doesnt look appetising.

The shrimp dumpling soup....

which was good. Shrimps were big and fresh. They were not stingy though its buffet. Thumbs up!

their shredded duck and assorted meat thick soup and their diced seafood and conpoy thick soup looked and tasted exactly the same.....

didnt find it particularly nice. But it was not not nice la. Rather starchy.

their congee...

basically their congee tasted pretty much the same except they had different ingredients inside....

variety wise they had pig's giblets, beef slice, century and salted egg with lean meat and "lychee boat style".

Their wanton mee..

the noodle was pretty nice as well. It was fine and Q and the sauce was good. Wanton's shrimps were big and fresh as well!

Their salted fish fried rice...

yummy!

their roast duck, char siew and chicken..

I felt they were all very average... not exceptionally nice but ok.

the sauteed sliced beef with spring onion and ginger...

the beef tasted and appeared like pork to all of us.

The stewed beef brisket...

i quite liked this. The beef was nice and again, they were not stingy with the beef.

a look at our spread....

Desserts...

They were out of their cold mango and osmanthus cake. we were all curious to koe how that tasted like! haha..

Overall the desserts were all ok. There was mango pudding, walnut cream, almond cream, cream of pomelo and mango and cold coconut cake.

Overall, i enjoyed the dinner. $22 nett was pretty worth it i would say.
