Aglio Olio

Aglio Olio
China Square Central

their tagline is " the singapore's version of pasta ". This place was recommended by Jianhe the other time. He commented that the pasta here is one of the best he's tried and he was happily showing me the stamp card he has of the place. The kind that offers some freebies after a number of stamps. haha

the place..

Their menu...

When the rest arrived, we decided to order 2 of their dinner specials.

Their Dinner special for 2 costs $29.90 and it includes:
1 x Pasta
1 x Pizza
1 x Basket of Chicken Wings
1 x Garlic Bread
2 x Soup of the Day
2 x Lemonade

I'd say its a pretty good deal.

Their pastas, pizza and rice ranges from $6.90 to $12.90, sides from $2.90 to $10.90 and drinks from $1.90 to $3.

As this group of my friends dont know about my food blog and there were people i'm meeting for the first time, i didnt exactly take pics of all the food.

The lemonade from the package....

Tastes average. Not the very concentrated kind but no complains.

The soup of the day was cream of chicken and vege soup...

Average tastes but again, no complains.

the garlic bread....

Considering it serves 2, they are pretty generous. Taste is not bad. Crispy on the sides, soft on the inside.

The basket of wings...

comes with 3 wings and 3 drumlets. Portion is good, taste is also pretty good. Served hot.. yum!

For the pasta and pizza, u are given the option to change only the pizza. We changed both pizzas to pastas.

I had a fish aglio....

for every mains, they'll check with u the level of spicyness. I think theres mild, normal, spicy and cant remember the other level. I asked for normal. It was pretty spicy already. The fish aglio overall was alright. Taste level is there. Fish is not wat i would rave about but no complains. Only thing is towards the end i found it a little oily but overall its really ok.

Susan's mushroom oglio....

tried a mouth, pretty not bad also.

Jackie had a bacon cream...

looks good but i didnt try it.

Cant remember what eric had. Also some aglio pasta but i think he asked for spicy. Kathleen had a garlic chicken rice. Didnt try but heard it was pretty tasty. Will probably try it during my next visit.
