Hog's Breath

ended up at hogs breath with ah yee and uncle sq.

these are their specials for today..



After placing our orders, ah yee was asking me... " since its hog's breath and their logo is a pig...



... why are they famous for steak instead of pork? "

haha.. i haf no idea.

i ordered their prime ribs with cheese sauce...

im such a carnivore! haha.. I kinda preferred the original one w/o any sauces. This cheese sauce was kinda not the kind of cheese sauce i was anticipating. I guess i was hoping more for the blue cheese kinda taste where this cheese sauce reminded me a little of the cheese sauce from KFC's cheese fries. I did like the steak though. It was juicy and tender.

Sides was the mashed potato which was better den the baked potato i had previously.

Also, previously i opted for vegetables (which included corn, broccoli and carrots) but today i went for the salad. I was skeptical about salad at first coz i was worried it might be coleslaw. But it was some greens with a sourish sauce and i prefer it to just vegetables. This is subjective of course.

ah yee ordered their full stab of pork ribs....



it was quite meaty, not the usual meatless kinda pork ribs. the sauce at first try was pretty good but u get sick of it after awhile.

uncle sq had the lamb shanks....



portion is HUGE!



Taste was alright. Quite tender. The mutton taste wasnt super strong so it was ok for me as well.

For dessert, we shared an apple crumble....



both of them agreed that the apple crumble is really good. the ice cream goes so well with the crumble at the top! hehe..
