We went for dinner at Guan Hin again.

we ordered the prawn balls and some crab rolls thingy...
The prawn rolls...
The crab rolls....
the inside of the crab rolls...
the prawn balls, as i mentioned previously, ah yee and uncle sq thought it was quite good but i find it just ok (coz mama makes better ones).
the crab rolls, it tasted just like ngoh heong, i didnt taste any crab meat at all. was quite disappointed. I didnt find it nice.. dun mean its not nice.. just not to my liking. The rest found it average (uncle sq likes my mum's ngoh heong).
both the prawn balls and crab rolls are priced at $1 each.
We had salted fish fried rice....
the fried rice was average, didnt have alot of salted fish. Not fantastic but ok.
the homemade toufu thingy...
we reordered it because after the previous visit, we all find it very nice!
the braised goose ($16)....
$16 cos its the medium sized one. Still find their goose quite good.
and finally, the star of today. We specially pre-ordered this when we came down last week. The lady boss told us she can only serve this after the other dishes coz some people may not be able to take this with an empty stomach.
The fermented crab....
A closer view....
the top part is actually the roe...
it costs $26. It may look gross to some. Its actually not cook but processed. They probably added some oil and some duno what sauces. It actually smelled pretty good and for most of us (except ah yee), it tasted pretty good at first try. Ah yee stopped after the first mouth.. she found it quite disgusting. haha.. Ooi was going on saying its very special. But by a few mouths later, we kinda get sick of it as well. So i gather if u're really interested to try it, get a bigger group of people to try it with u.
we didnt quite finish it...
last but not least, dessert was yam paste with pumpkin...
didnt manage to try it during the previous visit. Previous visit we had ginko nuts. The pumpkin was pretty good in my view. Something different from the usual ginko nuts.
