Cafebiz (Traders Hotel )

Traders Hotel...

There were people singing Christmas Carols....

Each of our seats had this party pack....

and the food! According to Liping and Cynthia, traders has quite a variety for xmas buffet.

There was sushi and sashimi....

I tried one tamago sushi. The rice felt abit hard. The sashimi was alright though i didnt find it really fresh. Not that its not fresh.. just not very fresh.

The chilled seafood....

they honestly had quite a variety of chilled seafood! There was oysters, mussels, alasakan crabs, crayfish, baby lobsters and big lobster claws. Usually, some hotels when offering these kinda chilled seafood (aside from the oysters), they are usually quite tasteless.. not sure if its coz they are chilled. However, Trader's one was tasty! Especially the baby lobster... it was good!

They also had chilli crab!

I didnt have the chilli crab though (didnt want to dirty my hands). Liping and Cynthia had them.

Meat wise there was the hongkong style roast chicken, roast meat and roast duck...

not superb but no complains!

the xmas-y items were the ham, turkey and some beef roast...

Only find the ham nice. Actually, till date, i've not tasted any turkey thats nice .. maybe coz turkey meat is usually very tough. Even the drum tastes tough. So i dun like it.

There was also homemade noodles. Cynthia got a bowl of za jiang mian...

again, no complains. Noodle's pretty fine.

Some curry....

which we didnt really try.

They also had dim sum like cha siew bao (didnt take pic).. taste was not bad. Skin was soft and nice.

Crystal dumpling....

didnt find the crystal dumpling good. Was a bit mashy.

and truly, the variety they had at Traders was really not bad. Or is it coz its been sometime since i tried hotel buffets because they also had some steamboat style sticks...

a close up of some of the variety they had...

and den u cook the sticks in a hot pot...

and the soup ...

Liping found it so nice she drank 3 bowls.

and some of the savoury items...

There was some seafood stew, garoupa in cream sauce, beef rendang, venison in black pepper sauce and braised goose. Most items tasted alright .. venison in black pepper sauce was slightly better.

AND! They had food the brazilian churrascaria style!

They had chefs coming round in skewers of food. The beef wasnt good though. It was tough. The sausage was pretty good, pork rib was great and pineapple was yummy! heh!

And for the desserts section...

some of the xmas style desserts...

which we barely took any. They had some baked figs thingy... looked all red and .. gross. Didnt taste good.

And the chocolate fondue that seems to have invaded almost all hotel's buffet....

and ice cream!

and some mini desserts...

always find these mini desserts very cute!

My party hat!

I like it! Its shiny in silver, matches my eyeliner! (ho! ho! ho!) and i love that white feather! haha

and Traders Hotel was giving out gifts to all the guests....

everyone got a snowman mug!

CUTE! Liping didnt want hers so i got two! The two lil ones would like it!

Also, gotta thank Cynthia for the xmas treat! Thank cute sweetie.
