Yesterday over dinner, dear dear was raving to leonard and me about some oh-my-god char siew. say until super nice! i was tempted.
the restaurant is located at shaw tower, level one. Overseas Restaurant....
dear dear gave me the impression that the name of the char siew on the menu is called Oh-my-god char siew! haha.. turned out it she named it!
the char siew is damn expensive! smallest portion is $20! medium is $30 and big one is $50!
ok, i must say, the char siew is really good! its really tender and with good portions of fats.... yummy! i would probably have liked it better if it was served a little warmer... but it was really good.
after the char siew, the rest of the dishes took quite a while to come.
chicken stewed in chinese wine served in a claypot...
the chinese wine taste was not bad.. overall it was good (hehe but i think my mummy cooks it better!)
fried tofu with haybe...
the tofu was really soft.. nicely fried outside... the sauce was saltish but goes well with the tofu. i like it.
spinach with century egg in some superior stock...
this dish is good too! the stock was like soup. the century egg was fried before added in and its quite yummy too! i quite liked it as well.
