Oso

after work, i went over to Oso @ Bukit Pasoh for the seafoodies Jul 09 gathering....

Oso has a chill out bar section at level 1 and the restaurant is located at level 2. the place was a lot more 'fine' den i expected.

saw this candle stand on lionel's blog previously taken in this same way....

i think its pretty!

the complimentary bread...

the one with the baked tomatoes etc was good. really fragrant. the little sticks were also fun to eat.

mains wise, i went for the wild boar in red wine sauce pasta...

fishy joked and said it looks like mee hoon kuay. this dish is super nice! the meat is all nicely shreded making it very easy to eat. it is cooked in a braised (or stewed) kinda method so the meat has the very tasty red wine sauce all infused in it. i loved it! every mouthful is a favoursome one.

fishy went for the angel hair aglio (i think)...

she said it looks like wanton mee. haha. i think its not bad but its got a very local taste den italian.

squiddy went for the ravioli with veal..

the menu described the sauce to be a cheese fondue of 3 different cheese (if i recall correctly). this is the MOST EXPLOSIVE dish of the night! it is simply OH SO DIVINE! To me, it literally tasted like foie gras in liquid form...... ahhhhh....

when squiddy had her first mouth, she literally gave a 'im-in-heaven' kinda look!

hahaha..

crabby had a tomato based seafood pasta...

while it may seem a bit boring, i felt this dish was really good as well. their tomato sauce was really good. its very natural and not the artificial kind. it gets to you with each mouthful. YUM.

rachie went for some pesto clam pasta...

not appealing to me. tastes... healthy?

desserts wise, fishy and myself shared a panna cotta....

what attracted me was when they said its wif pepper sauce...

it was ok but nothing wowing.. i miss valentino's panna cotta! valentino's one is super good!

as i was taking pictures, my flash was going on and on. fishy noted and said that the houseful of caucasians were alarmed each time i snap a picture because the whole place looked like there was lighting. hahhahaa
