I arrived at moh guan, tiong bahru area, not exactly sure what to expect. And for a start, the signboard and the place was not what I had expected...
Tucked in a coffee shop like venue with the traditional signboard. The bincho sign was just a small one by the door.
As I walked in, I was very intrigued by the decor of the place. It is what you can say, a place rich in singapore flavour of the 70s/80s.
I was led further into another area where the chefs are and was informed that menu is all on the board. There's no individual menu...
A best way to order is actually to take pictures of the board and slowly analyse the menu. Haha
While waiting for them to arrive, was so hungry so I ordered a Tsukune first...
Served with an egg yolk at the side, it was pretty good.
Also ordered a chicken skin salad to try...
Haha salad always came with the healthy connotation but with chicken skin (fried summore), can't be healthy, was yummy!
When they arrived, we ordered two sets of Yakitori. One was innards one was the chicken itself...
The items were all really good except that the portions were really small. Barely enuff to fill us up. Haha
The ox tongue...
Super tender! Very different from the ox tongue we typically have.
Chicken wings mentai...
Very yummy!
Sea urchin pasta...
Can say it's our only carb. It was creamy with fish roe. The sea urchin was fresh and tasty!
Sirloin...
Overall it's yummy but very pricey Coz of the small portions.
