Nam Sing (Bangkok)

our first stop is china town!

welcome to the land of cheap birds nest and shark fins!

brought kaizhi to nan sing which little bee brought me previously.

2 oysters for me (50 baht each)...

big but wasnt as fresh as i expected.

deep fried crab cakes (200 baht)....

had more minced pork than crab meat. not what i would recommend.

kaizhi chose a egg soup shark fins (600 baht)...

kaizhi quite liked the soup.

shark fins red soup (300 baht)

300 baht is around SGD$13. its probably hard to find sharks fin soup in singapore for such an amount. but of coz, having said dat, don't expect those huge chunks of shark fins like that from thai village restaurant or rama thai. Those would work out to probably around the same over here.

i found the 2 soup ok. haha. i guess i just like the big big chunks kind. (i better shut up before environmental lovers come scold me)

crab meat fried rice...

not bad but super big portion!

charcoal grilled neck pork (200 baht)...

a bit dry for my liking but kaizhi found it ok.

and finally to end off, bird's nest! 200 baht...
