F.I.S.H

For dinner, we decided to do it at F.I.S.H, a new concept restaurant by Fish & Co.


the interior is very nicely decorated! reminds me of some kind of a wine cellar or of some fireplace feel....

n oh.. while shopping around earlier, we found quite a number of cake shops at the basement so we bot 2 pieces of cakes from Rive Gauche Patisserie....



the mango and strawberry shortcake...



initially, we were worried that F.I.S.H would not let us consume it inside coz they serve cakes too but surprisingly, not only were they very ok about it, they were even very enthusiastic... they even offered us plates on their own initiative and even offered a nicer bigger plates for the photos.

that aside, the service for the whole night was major thumbs up. the manager (or maybe owner) was incredibly attentive and when he saw us taking pictures, he took his own initiative to come over to help us with it. excellent service i would say.

the piri piri squid....



texture was good but had the very strong squid smell so it kinda irked kaizhi. but was still ok for me.

the jungle freeze huge blended drink we shared... funny how they gave such short straws...



for mains, i had some crusted cheese fish...



portion was good. i think if its only one piece i would still feel hungy. heh.. the crusted cheese was nice and overall the fish was fresh and not bad.

kaizhi had some chicken dish..



i found it ok but kaizhi felt that the chicken was not as well marinated.

den kaizhi who was not satisfied with her mains just couldnt get her mind off that chocolate cake she saw in the menu earlier so....



it was a bit too sweet and too chewy for my liking. Kaizhi seemed to find it ok only.
