met up with Steven at Canele for lunch....
the interior of the place....
i was deciding between their tried and tested great mushroom soup and their sounds good crab and corn soup and eventually decided to go for the latter....
pretty generous amount of crab meat and corn but i don't really like it. its slightly sweet. I prefer their mushroom soup anytime. Steven went for the mushroom soup. its really thumbs up!!
for salad, i ordered the salad canele.....
generous portion of crab meat which is really nice. the greens are also very fresh. The roast chicken salad i had the other time with crabby is much better though.
for mains i ordered the beef stew feeling full of expectations......
but i was quite disappointed. it felt more like its minestone soup with beef cubes. i couldnt really taste the red wine that was mentioned in the menu and i was kinda expecting a thicker stew.
steven ordered the marinara pasta....
we both didnt really like it coz its a little spicy.
for desserts, we shared the nogurtine crepe....
a closer up view....
it is heavenly! the crepe is thin and spread with nutella and crunchy hazelnuts. it is topped with a scoop of hazelnut ice cream with a good portion of hazelnuts. on the side is pieces of crispy crunchy biscuits slided along some white cream. on top of everything is lines of caramel..... ooooo!
steven treated, thank cute!
