Kazu Sumi-yaki Restaurant

I gave vreniz a treat at Kazu coz i rem she loves the foie gras...

Kazu was fully booked but we were early so managed to get a table for us..

we were first served the lettuce.....



WITH THE SUPER YUMMILIOUS MISO SAUCE.. feels so healthy.. serve slightly chilled (i mean the lettuce).. YUM!

and the FOIE GRAS.......



smooth!! Vreniz loved it... melts in the mouth!! ha..

and the chicken wings and golden mushroom in bacon ....



chicken wings was pretty nicely marinated but its a small piece... vreniz loved the golden mushrooms wif bacon..

and i came back for this!



its some japanese beans beancurd.. the green beancurd looks special so i just had to come back for it. think it costs $6 for a small piece. taste was ok.. texture was rather different from normal beancurd and doesnt haf the very strong tauhu taste also.

the person also recommended this pumpkin wif minced chicken thingy....



oh, did i mention the server was very friendly? this dish was already.. tastes very cheena.. the pumpkin was quite nice.. different from the usual way we eat pumpkin (the mashed version) coz this one is diced.

and more skewers of pork belly with apple, yam in bacon ....



the pork belly is soooo tender. Vreniz is a pork lover and she loved it. the yam wif bacon was nothing special though.. the yam didnt have much taste.

and i recommended the oyster wif bacon to vreniz....

the server recommended this lotus roots wif meat thingy....



was nt bad.. a different way of having lotus roots.. it was bbq-ed and it was kinda crunchy, a lil like potato and slightly saltish...

and the scallops....



the whole meal came up to around $80 plus.. quite worth it. i paid lesser den what cynthia paid for my bday.. haha
