Hong Kong - Tong Shui

Tong Shui located at Zion Road....

the interior...

we were first served this preserved vegetables as appetisers..

you know how other places serve peanuts but they serve this preserved vegetables. Knowing that this is actually chargable, i wanted to request for this to be removed but dad actually wanted it and it tasted so good to him that he requested for another portion to be taked away. I found it just ok but i guess its subjective. If you love preserved vegetables like my dad, you may like this as well.

Drinks wise, mum had a pomelo and mango drink....

Dad and Tini had the iced milk tea...

i had the lychee with kiwi blended...

it tasted very much of syrup, the lychee taste was not strong.

As we were all not very hungry, we shared the food.

The peanut butter and condensed milk toast....

The bread is very crispy on the sides enhancing the saltish taste of the peanut butter. Nice! Standard remained the same from my previous visit.

Ordered the chee cheong fan with you char kway inside with sweet sauce....

I would say its rather special to have the you char kway inside but i didn't find the taste anything to shout about.

Dad ordered a fried rice to share with Chit Jia...

tasted a mouth, found it alright.

Mum ordered a pork macaroni....

the taste was just alright. Soup was ok, pork was relatively tender.

I ordered a chicken chop nissin mee to share...

the soup is slightly tastier den the macaroni but still, nothing extraordinary.

But its a huge bowl!

Ordered a chin chow and mango dessert for Huiying and Chit Jia to share...

It was not good. Pretty tasteless honestly. Not sweet nor sour. But i like the lil bouncy balls.. its the same ones that they use in Jing Jing Dessert House.

Aunt Lisa ordered the black sesame and almond cream dessert....

i tried the black sesame part (coz i don't like almonds) and found it not bad...
