Chinese - Koo Kee

Went for dinner with ah yee and uncle sq at Parkway Parade. I remember loh gong zai and kendi had previously recommended this Koo Kee lobster noodles. They said its cheap and yummy. So it was Koo Kee we went...

the interior...

the menu...

unfortunately, the lobster noodles were actually on promotion and are not available anymore!

Preserved vegetable was given as a starter..

In the end, we ordered....

Jelly fish with sesame oil.. ($3)

Its also served with cucumber slices. Tastes really good. The jelly fish is as Q as it needs to be.

Steamed juicy meat buns aka Xiao long bao .. ($5)

5 for $5.. pretty cheap eh? I found the skin a little thick (just a little, not very) but overall its pretty good.

the 'chup' is nicely intact inside..

we also shared a shrimp, pork and chive dumpling ($2.80)...

the white one is definitely chive while i couldnt quite tell the difference between the shrimp and pork. Taste wise was alright.

Ah yee also ordered a pan fried pork and vegetable bun ($3)...

this bun was quite nice...

the bottom is pan fried and the skin is soft and nice.

For mains, ah yee ordered the fried noodle with black pepper chicken ($12)...

the noodle was not bad, rather Q according to ah yee.

Uncle sq ordered a noodle with chicken soup ($6.80)...

It was not bad but i remember crystal jade has a similar item on their menu and their soup is much nicer.

as for myself, i ordered a noodle with minced meat and mushroom in spicy sauce ($5.80)...

Would say its rather value for money. Taste was not bad, the noodle was quite Q.
