cynthia ordered a chocolate crepe....



it has probably got bananas inside which i took out. but the crepe was good. it was soft and the chocolate they used was yummy. i also like the lil chocolate pearls.

The butter girls' xmas exchange gathering is today!

thanks to snowy who always research on new places, today she introduced Mr Punch!



located along Seah Street where the mint museum is located.




decor is nice, lots of old english posters, a little retro...

truffle fries...



their truffle fries are really good! im tempted to say its better than skinny pizza's.

that was starter not part of the 3 course set meal they had for xmas.

part of our set meal was the starter. starters included either a mushroom soup or tomato bruschetta...







the mushroom soup is not bad. the tomato bruschetta is ok.

for mains, i had the tuna loin with mashed potato......



i found the tuna a little too salty but kaizhi feels that its the nicest mains. differing opinons. i liked the mashed potato though.

snowy had the chicken...



which was not bad.

camilia had the cream sauce with soft shell crab...



i quite like their spag. the sauce is a little different and i think its nice.

kaizhi didnt order from the set. she had pork ribs...



i like it! its not overpowered with sauces and its relatively tender.

the dessert for our set meal was the log cake...



the log cake is nice! not too sweet and most importantly its got this round bits of chocolate pearls. i like!

and because kaizhi ordered ala carte, she ordered ala carte dessert as well. warm chocolate cake...

not impressive although i love the gorgonzola cheese dip. super nice!

we were both torn between the wild rocket burger and the bleu cheese burger so we made the decision to order both and share!

wild rocket burger...



why u like that disappoint me? i have high hopes for this burger. i loved it when i had it at wild rocket. i remember how the juices will flow out and its got this tomato paste thingy thats just lovely. but this one is just.. boring.. not impressive.. SIAN.

bleu cheese burger...



i cannot help but compare it to the one from jones the grocer. the one from jones wins big time. this one is .. well.. decent.








for dessert, we shared a horlicks and milo marble cake...




name itself is orgasmic right? its quite nice but better for sharing.

i want ice cream! how can i be in europe for so many days and not tried their ice cream?

headed to a cafe near the dom...



the ice cream was yummy! and because in our watsapp conversation, huichin recommended that i try the black forest cake so i did. the black forest was ok.. i prefer the ice cream!

Haus Wertheym (Germany)

dinner at the restaurant near the Dom...




















ordered a lobster bisque soup...



there was not much lobster bits so he joked and said it was like the lobster took a swim in it! hahahaha .. taste wise it was ok.

complimentary salad...



we ordered a beef stroganoff to share...



it was decent.

and also the crispy pork knuckles that was supposed to be germany's popular dish...




the pork knuckle was just alright. i think even marche's one is better. haha

China Restaurant Palms Garden (Germany)

chinese restaurant nearby my hotel. they have really cheap buffet (i think only euros $6.90)...

the blueberry smoothie was really good. the classic red milk tea was not bad either.

and they were selling this white colour thingy for xmas...

Arirang (Germany)

this korean restaurant near my hotel called Arirang...


its a pretty authentic korean restaurant...

their kim chi and their greasy potato is really yummy. i particularly loved the potato. i think i like this korean style of potato because its not too cooked. in fact its semi hard, i like it done this way!

kim chi tofu soup...



beef ribs soup, didnt expect it to come with noodles...



it was yummy! the ribs were tender and the soup was tasty!

Hotel IBB (Germany)

Hotel Ibb's breakfast buffet...



again, spreads of ham and cheese. and i like them!

some cold spreads...



and its great that they have scrambled eggs too. some of the previous hotels didnt have it.
