Unique Seafood Market

Seafood with nuasters @ Turf City's Unique seafood market because Andy zai told us they haf 50% off on weekdays....

they were already choosing the seafood when i got there... apparently the really qi guai kind are quite expensive so we sticked to the usual ones. haha..

the tanks of seafood reminds me of those seafood places u see in hongkong....

so fun! can pick den they'll cook for u!

they told me they chose the smaller oysters and wana haf them cheese baked. I specially requested a bigger one to be taken FRESH... loh gong zai said owing to my special encounter earlier, he allows me to haf this and split the bill... haha.. wif him and his jokes, its really hard to remain affected!

my supposedly bigger fresh oyster...

its bigger but not very very big. the scallop part of it was really sweet though! costs ard $4.40 each.

the cheese baked oysters ($1.60)....

its ok.. but we all agreed dat the former Music Underground's baked oysters are still the best we've ever had.

Oyster sauce kai lan ($18)....

note that vegetables are not subjected to the 50% discount. The kai lan was pretty good though. Very fresh and big! and surprise surprise! our andy has started to take vegetables now! haha..

gong bao frog leg ($14)....

we had 4 frog legs... tastes pretty good.

south africa abalone ($56)..

we had 7 pieces so works out to about $8 per piece... cheap cheap cheap... and though im not an abalone person, $8 per piece is a bit hard to reject. haha... we had one piece each! not bad not bad.. quite fresh!

sea white prawns ($36)....

its about 1 kg of prawns cooked drunken style.... the soup was very nice.. prawns are good too especially since i had a personal peeler. hehe.. thank cute andy!

Soon hock ($45)....

both loh gong zai and i agreed dat soon hock is one of our favourite fish! this soon hock is pretty decent also.

sri lanka crabs ($33)... we ordered about 1.7kg of crabs... 3 crabs in total.

2 was done black pepper style...

was not bad but im not much of a black pepper crab person.

one was cooked wif salted egg.........

LOVE IT! the salted egg sauce is so good! can taste the slightly powdery salted egg coated all over the shell... yum yum!!

overall, loh gong zai liked the food and of coz the price and he said dat this will become a monthly affair for nuasters! yay! haha
