QQ Rice

QQ Rice is located at Square 2 (@ Novena, very near Novena Square and velocity, facing Tan Tock Seng hospital). The shopping centre is kinda still developing.. its quite big and it kinda reminds me a bit of Platinum mall in Bangkok.

QQ Rice was recommended to me by Meina.

QQ Rice is located at #01-06....

The shop.....

How to order.....

its somewhat like Subway... Subway u choose the type of bread, here u choose the type of rice.. they haf 5 kinds of rice.....

theres purple rice, brown rice, ice lake wild rice, wheat germ brown rice and supreme combination rice. They even haf descriptions telling u each rice's nutrition value and wat its good for.. vaguely recall Sorina saying Brown rice suits her coz it... (if i call correctly) is good to increase energy level or something lidat. Prices range from $3.20 - $3.90 (SO CHEAP!!!!!)

den u get to choose not one, not two but FIVE different fillings!

or if u can't decide what fillings to include, they haf some ready recipes.......

for vegetarians, they haf the vegetarian one, they haf weekly specials (for this week its rendang mutton) or u can just get the server to mix it for u and wait to be surprised!

i chose my own fillings....

i had lor neng (egg), beef sausage...

home made minced chicken, asparagus and turkey bacon....

this is Timothy (the in-charge)....

packing my rice for me.

and another rice ball....

check out the different fillings they haf....

theres spicy shrimp paste, cuttlefish finger, fish flakes, fish cake, beef sauasage, turkey bacon, chicken ham, smoked chicken, rendang mutton, pot-stewed egg, fish floss, spicy chicken floss, fragrance sweet pear, carrots, japanese cucumber, crunchy red apple, sweet pineapple, raisins, roasted peanuts AND MORE! these are just some of it!

Also, i believe if u like certain items, u can try to feedback to the boss. im not saying he would definitely add it to the menu but the boss sure looked really friendly and nice... im sure he'll consider the feedback!

i got them to cut my rice ball into 2....

looks nice ya?

and remember i said its like subway? Here, u add $1 for any drink and 80 cents for any dessert pudding (choice of purple rice or mixed grain pudding)....

meaning a whole set like the above only costs only $5.70!! Really cheap if u ask me.. and so fun to eat!Trust me, its filling enuff! and its yummilious! im missing it as im looking at the pics. Also also also, its healthy! So whoever said healthy food cannot be yummilious? (oopz.. i think i said that.. but well, wif this, i changed my mind!).. i heard from the boss, they even had nutritionist to come up wif some of their stuff (dun remember wat..hehe)

i chose the multi-grain pudding upon the server's recommendation...

its really nice... something different and not too sweet... love the texture and those bits of grains are really nice.... definitely will wana try the purple rice next time!

and as we were done, suddenly the shop got so crowded. check out the queue!

is this another donut factory queue in the making? haha.. no worries, i stayed on and saw them settle the queue in minutes! They are so fast!

and they haf this shelve selling things from taiwan (btw, i think this QQ ball thingy is from taiwan)

its pretty good. And i think its very interesting and innovative product.. probably wun be a passing phrase..heh.. hope they open up more outlets.. also saw many interesting shops at Square2!
