Equinox

Today i meet up with JJ to celebrate my birthday!

we both agreed dat despite other places coming up with the city view, we kind of prefer the one from swissotel.

for starter, he chose the lobster (or prawn) bisque soup...



it was pretty good. he liked it so much that he actually missed it. i seldom have JJ telling me he would miss a particular dish. i tried it, if i recall correctly it has a tinge of lemongrass taste. i found it special but didnt particularly love it. i usually like my lobster bisque to have a very strong hay gor taste. hehe

and for myself, i had foie gras!



it was a good portion... was pretty good. but its not easy to go wrong with foie gras i guess.. i loveeee foie gras! hehe

for mains, he went for the roast pork...



i think it was not bad. the meat was really tender (which i like). the skin was crispy but a bit hard to bite off.. its not like the roast pork kind of texture, its smooth as u can see in the picture. i generally prefer the roast pork kind of texture.. it usually is much easier to bite and chew in my view.

i went for the steak (can't remember what cut.. hehe)...



YUMMY!! the sides were slightly salted and its super tender! but sadly, portion was stingy!  interestingly, they also gave a side of the beef marrow.. just had it at Le Bistro Parisien with the fun team the other day, is beef marrow going to be the nxt up and coming (or it already is but i dont know) thing on menus?


my margaritas craving was still on so JJ ordered one for me..



i prefer ice blended margaritas!

but interestingly, they gave chocolates with it!
