we did the ala carte buffet at Paramount.
each person was given a bowl of buddha jump over the wall...
it was not bad considering it still had the abalone, sharkfins, mushrooms n the other herbal herbal ingredients.
prawns wise, we were given 100g per person so we had 500g. divided it to be done 2 styles, steamed and with soya sauce (i think, coz i didnt try)....
some of the starters....
the salmon sashimi was thick and good! the rest were pretty ok as well.
but the peking duck was quite a disappointment!
usually it should be just the skin but this one is with the meat and it looks like it has been cooked and recooked duno how many times. i happened to make this comment abt it being cooked and recooked when the manager walked past n overheard me. his recovery measures were pretty impressive though. he took the initiative and came up to us and told us he will reserve us the peking duck. In fact, he served us the whole duck and the server prepared it on the spot!
and dats not all, he gave us the remaining duck to bring home. mum n ah yee were all so impressed! his name is Sam. THUMBS UP UP UP for the excellent service!
the reserved peking duck...
it was much better although i personally still found the skin not crispy enuff.
the roasted meat items...
some of the other items on the buffet menu...
the braised veal was realllllly good. there was so much food we were sooooo stuffed!
there was also quite a selection of desserts but i went for the chocolate ice cream and the ice cream puffs!
nice!
