The Cheesecake Factory (Iowa)

and after a day of shopping, late lunch at the long anticipated cheesecake factory!!!!

had seen pics of this place all around! i think its mainly on facebook.. frens who visited usa mostly seemed to have pics of this place and it always looks soooo posh and delectable! like i HAVE TO try it if im in usa kinda thing. Sunantha was also raving to me about it.

the interior of the place...

ok, to be honest while it does look nicely decorated, i didnt find it as posh when i got in. it was still nice but it felt more... comfortable in reality den that unattainable feeling in pics. not sure if you get what i mean.

and the cakes display....

i almost went crazy! haha

my FAVOURITE!!

this fresh strawberry one is so so so so darn good! the cheese cake is very soft and even the crust is just nice.. not overly hard or something. The whipped cream even was heavenly.. yes i know its sinful but its SOOOO NICE! the strawberries are big and sweet and Ahhhhhh..... love it! one of the best i've had so far!

some of their other cakes...

a delight to even just LOOK at them!

their menu....

i wanted to try everything and i grossly over ordered. but its not a everyday thing so i console myself its FINE. haha

crab wanton (US$8.95)...

the inside...

was toying between this and the crab cakes but the lady recommended this. its abit cheesy with crab meat inside. i didnt quite like it coz maybe i was craving more for the crab cakes kinda food. my bad for ordering wrongly. and i didnt like the skin.. was not our local wanton skin but more of the flourish made skin.

den i had a lunch meat loaf (US$10.95)....

can u imagine this is only LUNCH portion? dinner portion is like double the serving!! i think we need HUGE groups to come dine together to be able to finish everything!

the meat loaf...

its yummy! nicely seasoned grounded meat put together. so soft and tasty.

just HAD to order a pasta coz i remember sunantha was raving about it. the person recommended their pasta da vinci (US$10.95)....

again, its only their lunch portion and big enuff to be shared by 2 -3 pax. naturally, i couldnt finish it. also, i didnt like it. its supposed to be chicken, mushrooms cookied in madeira wine sauce. it was a bit sweet and just not the kind of pasta i was hoping for. i was craving for something more savoury.

and this is how they add cheese on pasta...

dessert was a white chocolate caramel macademia nut cheesecake...

check out the generous chunks of macademia nuts..

it was so good. like i said earlier, the cheese cake is very soft and even the crust is just nice.. not overly hard or something. The whipped cream even was heavenly.

it was because it was so good, i knew i had to buy this back for kaizhi so i bought 2 pieces. the fresh strawberries one and a chocolate sundae one.

now i can proudly say, i've also been to The Cheesecake Factory!
