Blu Jazz Cafe

I planned for Carol & Ching Ching's farewell to be held at Blu Jazz Cafe.

took seats inside this time round...

food!

we shared the finger food....

balls of fire, fish fingers, calamari and chicken wings.

the balls of fire is small round balls of chicken. on the menu it says is is chicken nuggets. this is clammy's favourite. i think its fine.. its a nice spiced up balls of chicken.

the calamari and fish fingers were not bad as well although carol didnt like the calamari coz she found it too powdery.

i didnt like the chicken wings! its got paisley.. very strong paisley taste.

for mains, i had the seafood aglio ($9.90).....

the top part was pretty good. it was spicy, not too oily, not too dry and the seafood were fresh. but the bottom part was really oily.. eeks.

shaun ordered the grilled creolo chicken ($11.90)...

i remember this being one of the nicer dishes from my previous visits. the chicken is nicely seasoned and its thigh meat. yum yum.

ching ching had the dory fish ($8.90)...

its good too! i know ching ching liked it. the fish is fresh and relatively thick.

Carol went for the set dinner that comes with soup, a small slice of cheese cake and a cup of coffee / tea. the mains for the set dinner is chicken breast and prawn...

carol didnt finish it. she said the chicken was very dry. i tried a bite and i totally agree. haha

hwee leng and linda went for the steak (cant remember how much but most probably less than $15).....

it was so GOOD! considering the price, the portion is excellent. taste wise, the sauce was ok and the beef was tender! very tender!

shane went for the chimichanga ($12.90) under my recommendation....

for previous review of the chimichanga, you can refer to here.

we ordered cheese cake and brownie to share...

this is my first time having desserts from Blu Jazz. I'd say their desserts are edible but not impressive.
