The rain was getting heavier as we were walking over to Far East for dinner so we decided to settle for Crystal Jade La Mian since i had a $30 voucher.
And because we had a voucher, we kinda over ordered. haha
We had a jelly fish...
I thought the taste was pretty mild. Overall i still prefer Koo Kee's jelly fish (in comparsion to Crystal Jade Kitchen and Crystal Jade La Mian's). Even the texture from Koo Kee's one is nicer.
and we had a century egg with toufu dish...
this dish is served cold and its topped with abit of pork floss and spring onion on top. The sauce is sweet. I quite like this dish though i couldnt quite taste the century egg. But its nice, i like it.
and some Salmon and Mushroom bun....
you get the option of steamed or fried, Lionel asked for the fried one.
The fillings....
As u can see, the filling is very little and there was actually very very little salmon. Taste wise, i dun find it really nice. Its not not nice but i definitely won't order this again.
And xiao long bao!
Mmmmmmmmm~!
and i was craving for soupy stuff (probably coz of the weather) so we had a wanton soup...
its more of the meat and vege kinda wanton (not the usual prawns and meat kind). Not bad.
and the fried rice...
Lionel pretty liked the fried rice. I find it alright but i'll prefer it if its saltier.
And Lionel recommended this Beef Brisket handmade noodle...
Lionel said its definitely handmade coz the thickness of the noodle not standard....
the beef, although throughly cooked but it still tasted good. It was still soft and juicy, not hard at all. The noodles were quite thick but still nice in terms of texture and taste.
The whole meal came up to about $49.90. After taking away the $30 from the voucher i have, worked out to about $10 per pax. And i've always liked Crystal Jade Xiao La Mian coz food's yummy, price is cheap (for its standard). Thumbs up!
