(Bangkok) Thai - Riverside

Dinner was at River Side Bangkok. I think its also a hotel...

We boarded a cruise. Actually dinner is supposed to be on the upper deck but we sat at the lower deck coz it was raining earlier.

The menu....

It says.. " River Side Luxury Cruis Ship. The Largest on the Chao Phraya. "

Bowl ordered a pineapple smoothie thingy. Was not bad but i found it too sweet for me...

The dishes we ordered...

The deep fried shrimp paste was not bad. Comes with a sweet sauce dat i liked. The stir fried vegetable was ok. Fried rice i chose the tuna fried rice simply because i've never had fried rice with tuna before. It was not bad. And my greatest mistake was to order the frozen crab meat! I thot it was real crab meat! Ended up its crab stick... alamak! waste of money, waste of my stomach storage space!

and more!

we had a fried chicken thingy which was not bad! Tender chicken, crispy skin! Another fish which was so good! So crispy on the outside, so juicy and fresh on the inside! Yum! And Bowl ordered a thai dish which she said the fish is tuna and there were lotsa other vege by the side like a platter. some of the vege (carrots, cabbage, cucumber and corn) had coconut milk on top. Bowl said to get the fish, dip into the chilli sauce in the centre and add on with the vege. Its really quite interesting. Not bad i would say! and lil bee ordered a banana split coz he said he wants to haf fibre. Haha.. to aid digestion. lol

The view on the upper deck was breathtaking.....

This is where the dinner was supposed to be.

and following will be different sceneries we saw along the way....

(Bangkok) Chinese - Nanxing

Our first stop today is Chinatown coz i wana haf sharksfin!

There was quite a number of shops but we both were more familiar with Nan Xing...

We were browsing the menu and were surprised that the oysters costs only 30 baht! Dats only around S$1.20! Hee.. we ordered 2! (both for me!) hehe

and see how HUGE they are?

The oyster was huge and tasted pretty fresh. But i kinda missed those dat i had at Broth's reopening celebration. Those were small but really good!

I managed to coax lil bee into ordering 2 bowls of sharks fins. hehe..

we had one in braised soup and another in clear soup. Initially, lil bee was rather skeptical about the clear soup but towards the end, he kinda preferred the clear soup! haha

we also shared a crab meat and shrimp fried rice...

its so good! I loved it! The crab meat is big big chunks kind! Wooo!

For dessert, needless to say it has to be bird's nest! Eat already complexion will be guk guk! hahaha!!

Yum! Only 200 baht!

(Bangkok) Japanese - Fuji

Lunch was at the Fuji Japanese Restaurant...

Seats are japanese style... and look whose feet came up when i tried to take pic of the japanese style seats...

haha.. lil bee's!

and look at how cheap their food is..

a whole set like the above is only $140 baht. Thats about... S$5.90! Even our Mcdonalds meal costs much more expensive den this! And this is a beef steak lunch set, comes with two mussels, soup, salad, fruits, rice and coffee/tea! Cheap cheap!

And because its cheap cheap, we over ordered! Well, strictly speaking its not we, it was i! haha..

We shared a chawanmushi.. it was not bad. A octopus ball which was also nice. The golden mushroom rolled in bacon (Elyn, told u they had it in bangkok also!) And the beef steak set (they replaced the mussels wif fish)..

and more...

had the cuttlefish sashimi (i had to finish it myself).. salmon, fried asparagus, some avocado wif tuna thingy.. the sauce was nice!

and more!

halfway thru the meal, the waitress suddenly came over to say i cannot take pictures. But she cannot stop me.. i stopped using my camera but i whipped out my fone. muahahhaa....

we had a asparagus wrapped in salmon roll (same sauce as the tuna and avocado one), a crab salad which was oh so so so good! The sauce made it taste really really good! I also ordered the minced tuna rice. Miss the one at Waraku but this one is not bad as well. Comes with egg and minced sweet meat. Lil bee ordered the green tea ice cream with red bean. He liked the red bean alot.

and den fruits came....

while bowl was on the fone, lil bee was telling me that there's actually a sequence to follow to eat the three fruits. Papaya followed by watermelon den pineapple. After Bowl got off the line, she explained its gotta do with enzymes. haha.. so now u know. Initially i thot lil bee was just kidding me.

and there was also coffee and tea...

Their coffee and tea tastes oh so good!
