Kdinner

Kdinner with Jeffrey & Orella.

some food from the buffet...

overall kdinners here serve pretty much the same old food. worth a visit in some sense coz food is decent though not awesome. best part is you get to sing your hearts out.

Shokudo

Accompanied dar dar for her dinner at Cineleisure's Shokudo

dar dar had some beef patty thingy wif curry...

the beef patty...

it was quite good. thick yet not too over-battered. Pretty juicy patty.

Marmalade Toast

Ray bought us a cupcake each. I usually go for the nutella but Amanda highly recommended the Elvis Presley which is a peanut butter cupcake....

i shared it subsquently wif clammy, janice and mojo. It was so so good! it wasnt too sweet and the peanut butter wasnt like too thick. right at the bottom was a banana. it was just so yummy!

Peng Lai Ge (Taiwan Delight)

Lunch with Ray & Amanda at Lau Pa Sat. We went for the Peng Lai Ge Taiwan Delights.

We shared a crispy fried chicken..

which is as good as usual. Ray and Amanda loved it as well. Ray kept raving that this is good stuff! haha

the lu rou fan....

both of them agreed with me that their lu rou fan is really good. the sauce is very nice. not too salty yet very tasty. the pork may look fatty but doesnt taste gerlard. in fact u can barely feel the fats. they are so hooked to it. Amanda has even dated me to come back again next week. haha

Swensens

this month's seafoodies gathering was held at Swensens.

fishy had a aglio olio...

which was ok really. Just felt boring. its a psychological thing. haha

Rachie joined us today as well and she had chicken baked rice...

the rice was chicken rice. not too bad. Swensens is after all, famous for their baked rice.

the while chocolate blondie....

the girls loved the nuts. the cold and warm sensation was good. The only thing i didnt like was it was too butterish.

clammy and crabby ordered the banana crumble...

which was awesome in all honestly although i don't really like banana. But it was really good.

Paisley & Cream

We were thinking of a dessert place so i brought chipmunk over to Paisley and Cream.

they have new designs of cupcakes! Check out cookie monster!!

SO CUTE!!

we ordered the mini one....

its quite good. the cream is nice, reminds me of cupcake momma's cupcakes.

the cupcake platter...

previously i remember the cheesecake cupcake as very good. today's one was too thick.

chipmunk had a Younger Than Springtime...

its got grapes, blueberry, lemon and ginger. its pretty good though especially with the grapes. But its really expensive, cost $8!

Waraku

Dinner with the chipmunk.

he ordered a katsu curry don...

he really likes curry and i guess he really likes their curry katsu don.. coz he said this is his usual order.

i went for my usual tuna minced rice...

nice..! i like it!

chipmunk treated for dinner, thank cute.

Andersen's

we shared a banana cake....

leoie found it ok but i found it really good! its served warm.. yum yum!

and ice cream...

i really like their rum and raisin. its oh so good!

Crystal Jade

the xiao long bao....

century egg and tofu...

its not as nice as i hoped for it to be. shunjuu's century egg tofu is still the best i've ever had.

guo tie...

pretty good. and because i dont really like things dat are too over fried, this one suits me well.

leoie's beef brisket noodle...

it was pretty ok too. flavoursome soup. i was teasing leoie why he didnt eat fried rice. haha

Leoie's treat, thank cute!

TCC

Mummy gorzilla's 2nd sisters gathering was held at TCC.

we shared a prawn a toast...

it is pretty good! u can really taste the prawn bits inside and its not like fish cake. i like it.

some shrooms puff like thingy...

i like its presentation. makes it look so exquisite. tastes good too.

Caesar salad...

it is pretty good.

there was also wedges and it was good wedges but no pictures coz it was too bright.

we each ordered a mains and shared. I had a salmon pasta...

the salmon is great! especially since its done like medium rare. the rest agreed its good too. the pasta is in a slight cream sauce with roe. its good.

mummy gorzilla ordered the banana curry salmon...

initially, i was really skeptical. banana and curry just doesnt sound matching to me. haha.. but the sauce turned out to taste pretty good. the mashed potato was quite divine. the salmon was overcooked despite requesting it to be medium rare.

ah mah pig ordered the seafood aglio...

tried this before and found it good. today's one is just as good. not too oily, the right level of spiciness and fresh seafood.

some chicken and mushroom baked pasta...

was not too bad.

generally, food wise it was all good.

then came desserts which was really really off... its quite terrible.

mummy gorzilla started off with ordering 6 cakes and desserts. aside from the tiramisu which was pretty good (we wondered if the tiramisu was really good or was it because its the best among the rest), the rest just sucked. they were really really dry cakes.... the cheesecake as well we simply terrible. mummy gorzilla said its like eating a chunk of flour. haha

the parfait was so scary.. didnt taste like ice cream, didnt taste like cheesecake.. and the scariest part is, it doesnt melt at all. we were there for a couple of hours and it looks exactly the same after a couple of hours.

after we feedback it to the server, i'd say their service is rather impressive though. they were really nice about it and genuine to hear our feedback. they even presented us with 2 other cakes (bottom right), telling us that is their most popular cake. sadly, i still think the cakes suck.

Eden

Crabby and i shared the salmon and portobello....

the salmon and portobello today was not as fresh as usual. didnt have that omph... the saffron sauce was still good though. the portobello wasnt thick or had that texture anymore. i'm mildly disappointed.

for desserts, we shared the rose petal brownie...

a closer up view...

the brownie is oh so good. served warm and the texture is really good. Crabby went " mmmm " .. this means its good! the only thing is the ice cream that they usually use is usually in blocks. would be better if its those scooped vanilla ..

Shi Nai

shi nai is now called macau cafe...

Ray ordered a club salad...

it looks better in the menu then in real. haha.. taste wise the meats had a very chinese taste. i think i much prefer cartel's grilled chicken salad.

amanda had a mango show hand...

mango pudding wif mango cubes and mango ice cream! definitely a show hand. haha.. i didnt try coz i don't like mango.

Jalapeno's Pepper

Celebrated dear dear's birthday for her at the singapore flyer!

i took up the Jalapeno's Pepper dine and ride package....

i had wanted to take up the bistro senso one ($69) but it is so expensive! Jalapeno's Pepper one is slightly more reasonably priced at $35.90. It comes with the soup of the day, main course, dessert, beverage and 1 flyer ticket, pointed out to me by the chipmunk who visited it over the weekend.

the restaurant was quite empty when we got there.

soup of the day was pumpkin soup...

its pretty thick and smooth. not bad.

for mains, dar dar chose the chicken primavera...

it was quite nicely cooked.. i merely didnt like the fact that its chicken breast meat. heh

i went for the vegetable baked rice...

i think it is quite good. the sauce was good and so was the cheese.

the interior of the place... very bright and colourful...

dessert was the hazelnut mango roulade...

didnt find it impressive.

and because i don't take mango, i requested for a change and they said they'll give me ice cream. didnt expect them to top up the ice cream with something else...

we were like wondering what the red substance below was. it turned out to be some raspberry like frizzy drink.

our flyer ride!

welcome to Singapore Flyer...

actually, all in all, it was quite *yawns* .. seriously.. and the gettting up onto the ride part, i felt it was quite dangerous. the whole capsule is still moving as you step up.

also, maybe its not wise to take the flyer at night because while the night lights are up, its hard to take a nice picture of the person and the scenery because when you use flash, you cant see the background. When you don't use flash, you cannot see the person.
