Tokyo Deli Cafe

we had our team xmas lunch at Tokyo Deli Cafe located at level 1 of Raffles City...

for an amount of around $15 (if i recall correctly), you get a choice of a drink with a couple of small dishes from their menu...

the food was generally decent. some items were nicer than others. it was a bit of a japanese western fusion cuisine. nice place to hang out for tea.

Prego

scheduled to meet up with dar and loh gong zai today to celebrate loh gong zai's birthday. jiajie came along too.

complimentary warm bread with the yummy tomato paste...

shared an appetiser of the beef carpaccio...

beef carpaccio was so soft... love the rockets and parmesan cheese.

calamari....

texture was good except its not salty enough. i seem to recall their calamari being really good.

dar dar ordered a tube pasta with bolognese sauce...

haha.. i found it a little boring!

mine was veal cheeks ravioli...

really liked the sauce.

loh gong zai had the risotto of the day and it was super yummy!

the risotto sauce was some cream cheese like sauce which was darn good. the beef was somewhat stewed and tasted really tender and tasty!

also ordered a side of spinach...

the spinach wasnt fantastic.

and truffle mashed potato...

severely lacking in truffle taste.

Itacho (Hong Kong)

i took mtr to the area where the concert was being held and did dinner by myself. was excited to find Itacho there as well and they have loads more interesting stuff there! more importantly, its much much cheaper eating here than back in singapore!

as you can probably see from the pics, they really have a lot more variety of newly created sushi.. they even added truffles on them. OOOoo *LOVES* I LOVE HONGKONG!!

Australian Milk Company (Hong Kong)

we headed for round 2 at the australian milk company next door for steamed milk...

since we didnt really have time left in hk, decided to order one of their breakfast set to share.

the bread with eggs....

again, looks so simple and plain BUT TASTES ABSOLUTELY FABULOUS! i know its just eggs but somehow they cook it so well. i don't know if its the oil they use or the butter or wat it is but its super good!
