mine was a keychain, lil bee's one is a money clip.
and the food!
the dishes are all seperated into seperate portions instead of the big plates.. i guess thats the service they provide for being ritz carlton. haha
the deluxe cold dish combination...
comes with prawn salad, fresh baby octopus, crispy prawn dumpling, crispy yam spring roll and deep fried five spice roll. The items were all nothing exceptional. Only the prawn salad tasted better.
Combination of deep fried dace fish with sea moss roll and sauteed flower squid with garden peas...
the squid was so so so so so soft. but so soft dat it loses the texture of squid. The deep fried dace fish and sea moss roll was pretty special though. I kinda liked it.. its got a mild fishy taste which can be an acquired taste but i kinda liked it.
Double Boiled Fish Maw and Ginseng in Chicken Consumme....
decent herbal soup.
Steamed sea bass with garlic soya sauce...
pretty mediocre.
braised chinese mushroom with broccoli....
fresh vegetables but taste was mediocre.
marinated chicken in barbecued sauce...
tender chicken, pretty tasty sauce but overall still mediocre.
Ee-fu noodles with seafood in black pepper sauce....
i found the use of black pepper sauce pretty unique and special. Not too bad.
Chilled Sweet Cream of sago with taro....
i thot this would be yam paste. haha... overall found the dessert alright... also mediocre.
thought most of the food tasted mediocre to me, it has kinda exceeded my expectations so i guess its good.
My dearest Meixin, thank cute for the invitation, here's wishing you a very blissfull marriage (which im pretty sure Soon Guan will be a great, loving hubby).
