Olive Tree (Hotel Intercontinental)

Initially we had planned to have dinner at Ma Maison but when we walked past Olive Tree, we decided to check out the price and food selection. The buffet is priced at $43+++. Because i haf the Hotel Intercontinental Priority Privilege card, it entitles me to 25% off.. and with 2 $20 vouchers, the meal that was supposed to be around $200 (after all the +++) worked out to be around $110.

and coz Ooi paid $75 from his mahjong winnings, it worked out to about $10 for the rest of us! hehe

Olive Tree...

Soup for today was cabbage potato corn (didnt try) and crab bisque (i like!)....

Their chilled seafood items....

they have prawns, crabs, crayfish, mussels and oysters. Didnt try the prawns, mussels and crab but Ooi said the prawns was good, crab was tasteless. Tried the crayfish and found it tasteless as well. The oysters were pretty good and fresh.

The cold dishes....

among the cold dishes, there was this prawn dish that was really crunchy and fresh. The salmon was pretty good as well coz it wasnt overcooked.

The menu of the day for the hot items...

there was pork vindaloo, vegetable kalfreezi, baked rice with chick pea, braised osso bucco italian sauce, bbq squids with tomato sauce, seafood gratin, grilled salmon with lemon butter, roasted chicken with brown sauce.....

overall, the items were all pretty good and tasty. Personal favourite includes the pork (very tender!!), the salmon and the seafood gratin.
