I went to waraku @ cuppage to give nuasters a treat!
to thank them for the expensive pressie and meal on my birthday... but of coz, i was too full to eat anything more..
we ordered my dar dar's favourite hotate butter ($6.80)....
served hot and smooth scallops.
they ordered a kaisen kimuchi ($8.80)..
which is basically seafood with kim chi... i dun go for kim chi coz its spicy! but i think from the looks of it, the seafood looks fresh and big!
also shared a salmon miso cheese ($8.80)....
super soft melted cheesy cheese.....
u just gotta keep rolling ur fork for it.. i'd say its nice.
For mains, kendi ordered some cheesy or is it creamy hotate udon thingy....
it looks really cheesy and creamy (think i'll like it). i tried a mouth, was not bad... its really thick.
fishtank tried to save money for me (haha) by ordering the garlic fried rice...
was nice! rather fragrant. but they all (icy, fishtank, kendi and previously, amanda) told me that sakae sushi has got even better and nicer garlic rice .. they said it so convincingly... haha
icy, dar and loh gong zai ordered this .. oopz.. i dun remember the name ... noodle thingy with seafood served boiling in a hot pot....
loh gong zai swears by this dish. he said after eating this, he only orders this when hes at waraku (the same effect the tuna minced rice has on me). I tried a bit of the soup.. its really pretty good.. and the udon is rather good too, its full and q~
andy ordered some teriyaki chicken don thingy....
this dish is rather ordinary amongst the other dishes waraku has to offer.
and for dessert, i ordered some tempura ice cream thingy....
was quite nice ... the slightly melted soft ice cream wif the warm soft tempura went very well.
