Loh gong zai suggested Coffee Club for dinner.
Took a couple of pictures of Coffee Club from the angle we were seated....
The drinks we ordered....
I had the iced earl vanilla as usual. Kendi had the strawberry smoothie, loh gong zai had the iced cappucino.
For starters, Kendi ordered a wasabi soft shell crab to share...
The soft shell crab is not bad.. quite crisy.. my only complain would probably be its quite small.. i personally like those with more crab meat and preferably with roe!
I had want to order their dory fish but after the server's prompting, i ordered the set instead. It cames with a soup..
its clam, prawn and pumpkin chowder.
I thot the display was quite nice and creative. In the middle is mashed potato and the pumpkin soup is laid by the side with clam, very fresh prawns and a slice of crispy toasted bread is placed across the mashed potato.
The mains for the set meal is ling fish with risotto cake...
a close up of the risotto cake...
The ling fish is very lemon-ish. I found the lemonish taste too strong for my liking. The risotti cake was not bad, goes well with the creamy mushroom sauce by the side.
Kendi had the garlic prawn pasta as usual...
reason for repeated ordering is coz its really good! Prawns are crunchy, pasta is tasty. Aglio olio style!
Loh gong zai ordered the crepe mushroom...
You can almost say he requested to come here for dinner for this crepe. Needless to say, its yummy! different from other crepes, its more 'watery' ie. with the cream sauce soaking the crepe.
Loh gong zai couldnt stop giving praises to Coffee Club's food.
I wish to highlight that all the stuff there offered excellent service. They are all very friendly, attentive and polite. They make u feel welcome. Even when i asked for the bill, the server asked me.. " u sure u want the bill? don't want to stay and sit longer? " haha.. highly commendable.
