Fine Cuts

Dinner with Dar Dar at Fine Cuts. It is this place at the basement of the Central which looks like the poultry section of a supermarket where you can choose the meats you want and they will grill it for you...

we were given 2 soup for the mains dat we ordered.....

its campbell's cream of chicken. i quite liked it but dar dar found it too salty... and that is probably why i liked it. haha

we kinda ordered 3 mains because i couldnt decide between the tenderloin or the kobe ribeye.

Kobe ribeye ($58.80)....

the doneness....

i feel totally stupid paying so much for it. I know Kobe and wagyu are supposed to be really really fine quality beef that is supposed to be really tender and every bite is supposed to be raved about. Sadly, i do not feel this at all. Coincidentally, Pepper Lunch was located right opposite this place and i feel that pepper lunch's beef might be much better than this!

Tenderloin ($21)....

again, nothing special.

Cod fish ($24)....

not a very big piece... not worth the money.

basically, im quite disappointed. Its probably an ok place to have dinner but things arent exactly cheap.. maybe we should have just ordered a couple of sausages.

Man for that amount of money, you're better off buying a slab of meat and grilling it at home haha! Nevermind, such places won't survive 'cos they'll only swindle us once at most!
