Healthy - The Fresh Juice Co.

Walked down to the basement of Raffles City and we walked past The Fruit Juice Co. ...

The person recommended their pineapple and strawberry...

Apparently its their best seller. Got a bottle for both of us. Costs $3.50.

I found the pineapple biting my tongue but taste was alright. Quite sour. Jeffrey liked it alot though.

Italian - Menotti

Dinner is at Menotti at Raffles City...

Apparently Menotti is under the chain of Garibaldi restaurants.

I tried calling to make reservations but i was told they only accept reservations of 4 or more pax. Worried that we might not be able to get a table, i went there as early as 6 pm to chop seats. The restaurant was quite quiet at that time. The interior of the restaurant...

the menu....

Ordered an apple juice ($4) while waiting for Jeffrey....

the restaurant started to get packed after Jeffrey arrived....

we ordered a crab cake starter to share ($14)...

the inside of the crab cake....

Its actually called Crocchette. Its crab cakes with orange and basil mayo. Its really good. i love the taste of the crab meat. A tad bit on the saltish side but i like it that way.

Ordered the spinach and crab soup ($8)...

Find it a slight bit blend for my liking.

For mains i had a risotto ($18.90)....

its with seafood and lobster bisque. The taste was not bad but the seafood portion felt quite little as compared to the rice.

Ravioli ($16.90)....

its black pasta stuffed with cod in cream and saffron sauce.

The filling..

I found the ravioli ok. Jeffrey liked it. I don't quite like saffron sauces to begin with but i really found the ravioli quite ok.

For dessert, Jeffrey had a catalana ($5.90)....

It is actually creme brulee baked with cherries. Its very light and very smooth. Very good.

I had a Cannoli ($5.90)...

this was recommended by the server. Its a tube shaped chocolate pastry stuffed with ricotta cheese, citrus fruits and pistachio nuts....

The taste was not bad.

Overall the food all tasted not bad. Service was really good especially the lady who recommended us the dessert. She is the one who really makes us want to head back there again.

Cafe - TCC (The Coffee Connisseure)

We headed over to The Coffee Connisseure for dessert. We went to the outlet near the old papa joe....

their selection of cake...

and they have pretty interesting menus with mini facts around the menu...

introduced Jo to try the devil's chocolate cake because Lea loves it (i don't quite fancy it though)....

Jo found it ok but she didnt like the centre layer which is some berry.

The server recommended Ole-Ole-Ah...

Its some chocolatey and coffee cake which actually does taste quite very good. The bottom layer is somewhat a hard praline layer of sorts. Jo loved it and she literally finished most of it.

and a $2.50 scoop of vanilla ice cream...

i like those rainbow coloured bits.

Japanese - Waraku (Cuppage)

Jo had cravings for Japanese food so we headed down to Waraku at Cuppage...

the exterior of Waraku...

and the interior....

Waraku's menu...

I had the uni chawanmushi....

It is very good! The seafood is very fresh. Be it the scallop, huge crunchy prawn or sea urchin. The chawanmushi is also very tasty with chunks of meat inside. One of the better chawanmushi i've had.

We also shared a kushiyaki mix...

the kushiyaki mix is as the name suggests, a mixture of a few items... there was cheese sausage (not bad!), grilled scallop (okok only), grilled chicken (not bad), grilled salmon (not bad) and asparagus rolled in bacon (the yaki tori one is better). Although today's items are just so so but its very worth to order to try abit of everything first. Only $9.80.

Jo had a softshell crab handroll...

and she also ordered her favourite ebi tempura...

its huge prawns.. Jo loved it..

Jo also ordered a Yakiudon...

i found the taste alright only.. im not exactly a udon person. I feel dat udon is a waste of my stomach storage space.

And of coz i had to have my minced raw tuna with spring onion rice..

I really love this item! Love the taste of the tuna going with the spring onion. been ordering this every time i visit waraku.

Jo ordered another item which i cant quite remember the name but its basically a small hot pan where u can stir fry the items urself...

We had the beef set ...

the dinner cost $70 odd.

Western - The Caffe Bar

Brought Bowl and lil bee over to The Caffe Bar...

Surprisingly for a weekday noon, it was still pretty packed....

We shared a smoked salmon bruschetta...

Jack's friend who works there as a manager recommended the above. I found it just so so.

I recommended the duck leg confit to Bowl...

Glad she likes it.

Lil bee had the seafood aglio olio...

Its so so good! The pasta totally absorbed the seafood taste. Yummy!

i also ordered dessert.. macroons...

The green one is pistachio, the brown one is hazelnut and the pink one is rose. Didnt try the green one. The rose one was pretty nice. The hazelnut one was not bad as well.

Knowing that Bowl likes whipped cream, i ordered the strawberry short cake...

Indeed she liked it. She was digging into the cream part! lol.. and its so funny how she tried to make lil bee eat the cream as well. haha..

The whole meal came up to around $83.

Canele - Hazelnut Praline

Bowl's birthday cake...

the cake was from Canele!

I had wanted to get a cake as well but Wilson told me Jules had already got a cake. And this brand's cake is POWER!

The cake was really so good. Everyone was full of praises for it! Jules is indeed one person u can count on when it comes to good food recommendation.

Cafe - Settlers Cafe

We headed over to Settlers again. This time, seafoodies in full force!

We were first given seats at level 1 this time...

we took up a deluxe package and with it, it included one of their special drinks called Purple Dinosaur....

its a blackcurrent / grape flavoured frizzy drink.

First game we played recommended by the server was called Slamwich...

The cards in the game...

they look so delectable!

it was a game to test our reflexes. We end up calling each other cheaters because for some our hands are faster, for some we say it faster.

We shifted upstairs at around 8.30 pm to get back the seat we had previously because its so comfy up there.

We asked for the explorer's platter that comes with the package to be served...

and because the cuttlefish was so good, we ordered an extra portion and an ice cream...

We continued playing lotsa games...

one of it is dog's life...

the cute doggie tokens...

but the cards were not so cute...

the server explaining the game to us...

This server is a very good natured and soft spoken server. We ended up calling for his assistance the whole night! You'll see alot of his pics later. Anyway, the dog's life is a very chimx game. Lotsa things to remember. After he finished explaining, we almost wanted to just give up the game and not play but we were abit paiseh.. after all he took so much effort to explain to us but we managed to get him to play it with us!

another game that sonia got was called squeeky but we didn't play it in the end..

we tried taboo today...

Was pretty fun.. using words to describe and we cant mention certain key words.

and guesstures...

The guesstures set...

The same server explaining the game to us...

We also played cluedo...

played this coz we all realised how we've forgotten the game. The game was quite easy actually just alot of mind work...

and we also played pit which was somewhat like heart attack...

The sets of cards...

the same server explaining to us...

We went on to play good old pictionary...

some of our funny drawings again....

Another fun time. The bill this time came up to pretty expensive. Around 100 odd. But because we exceeded $80, we were given a free membership.
