Japanese - Ma Maison

Celebrating Jo-ann's birthday at Ma Maison...

This is the interior of Ma Maison...

The food we ordered....

Clam chowder soup....

its not bad but i kinda prefer long john silver's clam chowder.

Cha soba salad....

my first time trying this. Its so good. It smells so good with the aromatic ma you. Served with cucumber, ham and egg slices. Something i've always wanted to try during my previous visits but i never did. But it'll definitely become something i'll definitely order during my next visit.

Dar ordered the Beef Stroganov Butter Rice....

Its with brown sauce topped with scrambled egg. The scrambled egg is so yummy. The butter rice is cooked just nice.. the combination of the egg, the buttered rice with the brown sauce is simply heavenly! The beef wasnt fantastic though. Was a lil hard but its ignore-able. The rice, egg and the sauce's yummyness was good enuff.

A closer view of the buttered rice below the scrambled egg...

Ordered a tonkatsu curry rice to share....

Their katsu used to be very very good. Very nicely seasoned and crispy on the outside and very tender pork on the inside. But somehow i find that the seasoning isnt as good this time. Used to be much much better - the kind where after one try you won't forget kind. Now its not as good anymore.

Also ordered a Oven Baked Fish topped with Camembert, Basil Sauce...

The fish was not bad... the camembert is cheese. An ok dish.

Jo-ann ordered the Omu-Rice....

A closer up view of the Omu-Rice....

similar to the Beef Stroganov Butter Rice, this rice is the ketchup rice. Also served with brown sauce but no beef. Jo-ann really liked the rice. I found it not bad but i prefer the Beef Stroganov Butter Rice.

When Jo-ann and dar went to the loo, i requested for a brownie ice cream to be served with a candle. Ma Maison serves one of the best brownie i've ever tasted (in my view). But sadly they are out of brownies. Replaced it with a tiramisu....

The tiramisu was just so so in my view.
