Hacienda

Its my belated belated birthday celebration with lil bee today.

lil bee gave me the option of brunch at Marmalade Pantry or Hacienda. And since he said its at dempsey (must be a place of great ambience), its bbq food (i just love the idea of being served my BBQs.. haha) and i've not been there before, the choice was pretty obvious.

We arrived at around 2 pm at Hacienda....

Located at 13A Dempsey Road...

the pictures of the place....

I guess the pictures have more or less done most of the talking ya? The ambience is simply FABULOUS. Seated there just makes me feel totally relaxed and lil bee agreed that it makes us feel like we're like some multi-millionaires, leading a totally luxurious and leisure lifestyle, chilling out in the afternoon.. the seats are ultra comfy, the whole setting is just enchanting. we're definitely coming back!

and there were two lil kids who came with their parents, who took seats on their own by another table... looks totally cute!

even the trees looked nicer when viewed from here...

haha..

drinks came first!

early in the day, lil bee is already having a hoegaarden! haha.. i had watermelon juice!

and check out the amount of food we ordered!

i specially requested for the crab cakes ($12)...

turned out to be a wonderful choice!! Look at the amount of crab meat inside....

and it was really tasty! Love it... Lil bee agrees as well dat its good stuff! haha .. and for the price, i think its quite worth it!

and the pork chop ($18)....

another view of the pork....

if i compare this pork chop to Perle Noire and Broth, this one pales in comparison. But if i compare it to the other pork chops i've had, this pork chop is actually pretty good. while its not very tender at every bite, the texturised meat still does haf a bouncy feel.

I also loved the mashed potato that came along wif it coz its got a buttery taste and while its smooth, it also has certain chunks of potato from time to time. i like that kinda texture.

Next up was the sausage platter ($12)....

the sausages are SOOOOOO JUICY! Really good.. and perhaps the idea of it being freshly bbq-ed just makes me like it more! haha

the wagyu burger ($25)....

a close up of the burger...

and this is how juicy the patty is....

can u see the juices flowing down? Overall the burger was alright though. Probably because its overdone so couldnt quite feel its wagyu. In comparison, although Wild Rocket's burger is not wagyu, i still prefer Wild Rocket's burger.

the meal was treated by lil bee. thank cute! oh.. n do note that prices here are nett, not subjected to additional taxes! we're so coming back! in fact, we were so cosy we didnt wana leave!
