Eden Sanctuary Floral Cafe

i was having appointments around town and carol suddenly texted to ask for lunch so i readily agreed. our lunch and met up has been long overdue.

we were wondering where to head to and i got reminded that clement's eden sanctury is round the corner where my next appointment is gonna be so we headed down there....

located at a corner at level 1 of china square central.

i've yet to visit clement at this new premise since they shifted  and i think its been a couple of years! im missing their salmon in saffron sauce with that big juicy portobello mushroom!

clement was around and he is still the same, doing so much at the same time, still having the green fingers.. he showed me the greens he was growing within the shop itself...

and apparently, he grows the mushroom he serves as well! and he is working on some product where you can buy and grow your own mushrooms to cook. takes only about 3 days and he showed me a video, so incredible!

as mentioned, i miss miss miss the salmon with saffron. sadly, they were out of salmon and even though clement tried to head to the supermarket downstairs to purchase it, they were out of salmon too. so i ordered the main dish from their set lunch as well.

they have a set lunch menu. you can choose from just the main dish at $10.90 or a 2 course at $12.90 or a 3 course at $14.90 (around there if i recall correctly).

I went for just the main course while carol had the 3 course.

salad which comes with her 3 course...

its fish with greens.

carol's main course was a mushroom pasta in cream sauce..

not bad.

i had a almond parmesan crusted fish fillet...

the name itself was enough to get me excited. it was pretty good in terms of taste!

carrot cake for carol's lunch set...

we also ordered a seperate chocolate ganache to share...

the chocolate ganache is a little different from how i remember it. its much thicker.

i shall be back to have the hibiscus filo pastry and the salmon again soon! in fact, i saw more dishes on their menu including vegetarian dishes so i quickly texted gorzilla and ah mah pig to arrange for a gathering here.

clement was really nice, offering little surprises here and there.

first there was the lemongrass tea...

homemade! lemongrass has been a popular drink these days and his is really good. its decently sweet, chilled and has that lemongrass taste.

he also offered us a small plate of mushrooms when he challenged me to say that abalone mushrooms can be juicier than portobellos....

THESE MUSHROOMS WERE INCREDIBLE! SUPER JUICY!! DAMNNNNN GOOD!!!  its like it just burst into juices when u bite it.

and another...

tada! lemon grass truffles...

the chocolates has a lemongrass centre. something different. carol said she feels like shes in a spa! haha

thank you clement for the many freebies.. we had a good time catching up and an enjoyable meal!
