Wild Rocket

after work, i met up with Cynthia for dinner to celebrate her birthday. we arranged to do dinner at Wild Rocket.

the complimentary bread....



and a complimentary starter...



its mushrooms wif truffle in a pie tee. so darn good! if only they gave more! *greedy*

we went for the UOB food sampling menu. first on the list was the soup. wolfberry chicken consumme with poached foie gras....



the soup was good! it was a mild herbalish like soup. the foie gras took in some of the soup taste yet was still robust in flavour with every mouth.

starter was the squid and crab cake with orange mayo & curry leaves....





i am a crab cake person. i like the idea of chunks of crab meat in my mouth. maybe because its a squid n crab cake.. i didnt like the mixture. i prefer an crab cake made entirely of crab meat.

crustacean oil spaghetti with tiger prawns & sakura ebi...



while the pasta was relatively nice, i found that the pastas i had on my previous few visits were nicer. today's pasta looked a bit overcooked.

fish was the chilean seabass masak merah, kaffir lime leaves....



honestly i couldnt tell what fish it was. it kinda reminded me of cod fish but apparently not. its not bad.

beef was the pan-searched ribeye with fleur de sel & truffle sabayon.....



SUPER DUPER GOOD. its incredibly tender and the sides was slightly salty, probably due to the seasoning. its just so darn good! i wish they gave more of this!

dessert was one of their signature gong tng sundae with peanut butter & butter peacan ice cream....



interesting use of gong tng if u ask me. was not bad.

i was feeling greedy so i ordered extra. i had the strawberry cheesecake...



their strawberry cheesecake served in a glass like an ice cream. love the crumbs of biscuit like pastry.. yum yum...
