Al Dente

I have a $200 voucher given from a friend (not convenient to reveal his name but thank cute!). Dinner with the team at Boat Quay's Al Dente + Hot Stones.

We were initially deciding which restaurant to go ... Carol opted for Hot Stones while Al Dente seemed to have better view.. but since it was raining, we headed to Hot Stones and found to our delight dat theres another Al Dente right beside Hot Stones along Boat Quay and we could order from both restaurants! yay!

Flower crab bisque....

nice! i like! Mojo likes it as well!

Mushroom soup....

would be nicer if its thicker.

smoked salmon carpaccio....

anna really liked it. i found it nice as well.

ham and melon...

the pamma ham was just ok but the honeydew was really really sweet.

calamari...

which was good! the texture of the squid was good.

we shared a pamma ham and rocket salad pizza....

the portion of the pamma ham was quite miserable. Duno why it seems to look more on the picture. but overall i think the pizza was not bad.

for mains, we had the blue cheese ravioli...

was glad i found more fellow blue cheese lovers but sadly their blue cheese is not strong at all.

cod fish.....

yummy!!

penne with scallops...

the cream sauce was pretty good. overall we quite liked the dish.

tenderloin...

good portions, tender beef.

braised beef cheeks....

yum yum! nicely braised and quite tender.. like it for the beefy taste!

the only one who ordered from the hot stones menu was Carol. She had the surf and turf which was steak and crayfish...

a closer up view...

the cooked product...

the crayfish was really fragrant. portion was more den i expected actually. i thot they'd just give a small thin miserable portion of crayfish but turns out its relatively thick and quite succulent.

the potato salad dat came wif the surf and turf ....

which we were all too full to really eat it. haha

and we shared a tiramisu....

the tiramisu was FABULOUS! it was really good! sweet and nicely soaked cake below.. yum yum!
