I told dar i've been thinking about the korean BBQ Chicken place at cineleisure's basement since i saw it the other day when i came to catch a movie. dar dar said she tried it before and its not nice but for my sake of trying, we went ahead.....
this bbq chicken place took over cartel. speaking of which, i didnt see why cartel would close shop.. i thot it was doing fine.
anyway, the interior...
we shared a col-pop ($5)...
from the menu i thought it looks interesting.. wif the fried chicken bits on top and drink below. but i got a little disoriented when it came.. i took up the chicken and asked dar dar.. " so how put where? " when dar replied me.. " what put where? " .. dats when i paused and thought for a second.. on ya, it can just sit there... haha.. silly me! just not used to picking up a cup of chicken along wif my drink.
the chicken was just ok in my view.. dar liked it better den i do.
dar said she tried the bbq sauce chicken previously and she didnt like it. so today we tried the charboiled chicken (i wouldnt have tried the bbq sauce chicken anyway because i don't like bbq sauce)....
a closer up view...
if u want sides like fries or rice etc, its an additional order. the chicken was thigh meat. it was ok in terms of taste, damn expensive in terms of price. 2 pieces like this costs $9. tastes like a chicken chop of the Seoul Garden chicken pieces. Duno if it that's supposed to be the korean part of it. Dar said it reminds her of the chicken from cold storage's bbq express (which is much cheaper, only $2.50)... only, bbq express one is nicer. haha...
just to shun bian introduce to u, Cold Storages would typically have a BBQ section. Go try their honey glazed chicken steak and black pepper chicken steak. Its juicy and tender and cheap! i personally like the honey glazed one while dar likes the black pepper one.
and upon the server's recommendation, we ordered a dessert which she said is some korean ice kacang ($3.50)!
i added the cherry on top coz our cherry slipped down when it arrived.
its got quite a bit of ingredients below...
i found it pretty good! dar didnt think much of it. I like it.. its got vanilla ice cream on top.. wif rainbow sprinkles.. and below is the shaved ice which is finely shaved.. there's red bean and some other cubed items. and chocolate waffle and peanut shavings too! yum yum.
