for dinner, Alex suggested The.Indulge at basement 1 of The Cathay. Never knew this place existed. But it proved to be a very good recommendation because after this, i fell in love with the food here!
it was pretty quiet when we were there...
alex went for the set meal and it came with starter which was this garlic mayo prawns with sunflower seeds...
this is really yummy! the prawns are big, deshelled and nicely fried. the prawns are crunchy and the garlic mayo sauce is really good! the sunflower seeds add this fragrant end to the prawns!
i ordered a starter of the chinese style salmon sashimi...
fell in love with this dish. to begin, the salmon is very fresh and very thick. they are also very generous in portions! the sauce is a bit of the sesame sauce kinda taste hence its called chinese salmon sashimi and it comes with a generous portion of avocado! yummmmmy!!!
for drinks, i went for a snow white...
not bad but forgettable. heh.
his set meal also came with a complimentary soup - Pumpkin soup...
the pumpkin soup was pretty good. tasty.. one of the few nicer pumpkin soup i've had.
for mains, i had the sirloin with fried rice...
Very value for money but the steak had much too many tendons making it very very hard to chew.
Alex had the ribeye...
looks pretty good!
