A last minute invitation from Statue and we had dinner at Garibaldi. GARIBALDI LEH!!
they serve excellent red wine! the one i had tonight is probably one of the best i've had for a long long time!
and this is some apple alcoholic drink...
its really yummy! its a little sweet and you can barely taste the alcohol. its got some sparkling wine inside.. i love it! had like 3 glasses!
some other drink recommended by the server...
Tastes like those old school coke candy (if u koe wat im talking about). but i really like the very clean design for their drinks, decor and .. everything! GARIBALDI LEH!
den it was the salad...
i love it! the dressing was slightly sour, slightly saltish.. i think its also orange dressing and i told statue its so much better den halia's if you ask me.
the soup was tuscan cannellini beans thick soup with prawns...
i like how the prawns were really succulent! the soup tasted.. really beanish. it was ok, not particularly strong in taste.
as for mains, there was choice of the pan fried norwegian salmon with spinach...
or red wine breased beef and mash potato...
if u know me well enuff, its not hard to guess which one i went for!
THE BEEF OF COURSE! it was heavenly! the beef was really tender! it was literally very easy to tear it apart. the sauce was awesome and the mashed potato was simply fabulous! i loved it!
i also tried a bit of the salmon which was ok (but boring to me).
den it was desserts. many were in anticipation for the dessert. it was molten lava chocolate cake with hazelnut gelato....
sadly, the molten lava effect did not happen to everyone. No QC. some of our cakes was just chocolate sponge cake.
Nonetheless, i enjoyed the meal terribly. Thank cute statue!!
