I was craving for something soupy so dear dear and Jasmine recommended Bento Place at the basement of chevon house....
i actually took the above pic the next day coz i forgot to take it today.. and immediately there was this man who walked out and shouted at me sounding really fiercely.. expression looked like he was gonna turn violent but of coz he didnt.. n he said.. " xiao jie? ni shi zuo shen mer de? wo men zhe li bu ke yi sui bian rang ni pai zhao " .... so i merely just walked away.
as for why they are so uptight about it, i dun really koe.. its not like they already know that i dun think much of their food and will give my honest opinon on my blog? or are they already aware that their food aint fantastic so they dun need honest publicity?
anyway, we shared a chicken karage...
its quite decent though a little expensive for the portion. costs $4 plus i think.
for mains, i had a char siew ramen, non spicy...
the soup was decent, noodles was ok also. but the char siew is definitely not up to standard. the char siew tasted like lean meat.. very boring char siew.
dear dear had the tempura udon...
tastes fine.
jasmine had the same char siew ramen but hers is spicy....
overall food was ok.. ok as in can eat but nothing special. but due to the service, i most prob will not return. i had my bag on a chair and i do understand its lunch hour but instead of asking nicely, the man spoke really loudly commanding (not ask hor) i remove my bag and insisting the group on my left to shift over.
yes, its lunch hour, restaurants want to maximise seatings for business but theres no reason to be rude about it. also, if u're a stall selling food at $3 per packet... naturally i wun be expecting any service .. but this place smelly smelly also can be called a RESTAURANT right? i pay around $9 bucks for my ramen, i think its reasonable to expect at least politeness.
