Noble House

Noble House (UIC building)...

The interior....

noble house is also under the tung lok group. Like at paramount, noble house also offers ala carte buffet. We took the one that went at $40 +++ per adult. Aside from the buffet menu, it comes with ...

1. Double boiled Shark's Fin with Chicken and Mushroom in Consume
2. Peking Duck - 2 pcs per person
3. Bountiful Salmon Yu-Sheng

first up was the bountiful salmon yu-sheng....

although yu sheng typically tastes the same, the yu sheng of this place was actually not very nice. Dun quite koe how to put it but its just not tasty enuff.

Next was the double boiled shark's fins with chicken and mushroom in consume....

not very generous with the shark's fin... the soup was very light.

Peking duck....

the duck wrapped inside was very thick so u cant really taste any crispy skin at all.

Other items included in the menu were....

Hot and Sour Century Egg...

didnt find anything hot or sour about the century egg but it was good. One thing we noticed was that the century egg looks very pretty.

The barbequed meat platter...

didnt try the char siew coz it doesnt look fresh to me.The chicken was pretty good though. Was very tender (even the breast part). The jelly fish was again, having this not fresh look and tasted below average. Kinda disappointed. Vaguely recall Paramount's was much better.

Double Boiled Pigeon Soup served in Bamboo Tube....

The pigeon meat was kinda processed into bak chor kinda texture. Soup was very light. Ok taste but not quite wat i expected.

The special roast chicken....

We were pretty surprised they added some gravy on the chicken. We had expected those crispy skin chicken .. the gravy kinda spoils it for us.

Home made bean curd in thai sauce....

this item was not bad.

salmon sashimi....

steamed sea bass with black bean sauce...

not bad either.

deep fried prawns in crispy oats....

i didnt try it upon looking at the size of the prawns.. so small.........

the scallops and cuttlefish in special chilli sauce ...

This dish was quite nice. Scallop was quite fresh!

Fried beef cubes in black pepper sauce...

GOOD! The beef cubes were tender and tasty.

Fried Duck Meat in Black Bean Sauce.....

was alright to me but a couple of them said its too salty...

Sauteed Diced Chicken with Dried Chilli...

this dish is pretty good.

Deep Fried chicken in italy sauce....

the deep fried chicken kinda lost the juiciness. While its not lousy, i didnt find it very good.

Sauteed Shrimps and Cavier with Egg..

This dish is VERY GOOD! The omelette is very very very very nice! Never quite had any omelette like this!

Dessert there was options of red bean, honeydew sago and chillied herbal jelly with honey.

We only had chillied herbal jelly with honey.....

it was ok. But its noticed that paramount offers a slightly more extensive variety of desserts on the menu.

Upon paying the bill, we were also given this 2 bags of rice......

Ah yee and uncle sq treated for the meal.
