Dinner at Buko Nero with Meina and Aloy. Our reservation was at 7.30 pm.
Again, no pictures allowed of the food.
The complimentary bread today was much much better den the previous time. There was 2 types. One was the round one dat was also available during the previous visit but this time, its more crispy on the outside and went very well with the olive oil. The other type available was in strips of rectangular with topping like tomato and cheese probably. very nice! also went very well with the olive oil.
the complimentary mini item from Oscar was this mini crispy bread layered with veal and mayo topped with corriandor. This was also great though very mini. haha... leaves us lingering for more.
for mains, we all had steak. Meina had the australian steak with prune sauce and bacon (duno the full name coz its not on the menu). That was not bad. Served with mashed potato. The steak was thick but portion was not big.
Aloy and i had argentina steak which was smoother. Portion of the steak was same as meina. Served with slices of potato. It was marinated with garlic, shallots and cant remember what. Slightly sour but very yummy in taste.
Desserts wise.. i cant remember all the names. But i remember one was some hazelnut cake which is made w/o flour. Another was a warm chocolate cake and den it was a coconut something. All 3 were great! Very crispy on the outside kind. Even meina whos not a cake lover gave her thumbs up and its amazing. U koe how usually chefs who are good at mains probably would not be as good in desserts and pastry etc? Apparently it isnt the case for Chef Oscar.
We've made our reservations for our next visit!
