Wanted to bring Jack and Lea to One Rochester but as we walked up the stairs from the carpark, Jack was asking me to turn right or left. Thinking dat is all the same (coz i vaguely recall One Rochester is quite big and i thot i recognised the house), i told Jack its the same and we turned left...
The interior of the place...
The house im referring to...
It was only when we got the menu dat i realised this is another place altogether. This place is called North Border....
Jack ordered Lea's favourite iced lemon tea...
and lea said those iced lemon tea dat comes wif sugar syrup is usually nice.
Only Jack ordered the mains. He had the Aunt Helen Whoop Ya Ass pasta...
it comes in three degrees of spicyness! Mildly spicy, crazy spicy and suicidal spicy! Jack wanted to choose suicidal spicy but the server recommended otherwise saying that the mildly spicy is already quite spicy. Heh.. so in the end he took the mildly spicy. But Jack complained dat its not spicy enuff. Tried the prawns.. its so crunchy! tastes somewhat like aglio olio style.
Lea and myself din haf mains.. we ordered desserts instead.. Lea had apple crumble...
which was ok. Prefer Corduroy's!
I had pecan pie...
I requested to change the chocolate ice cream to vanilla and it tastes great! It was served warm and the sensation of adding it to the ice cream was simply divine!
And i ordered something else to try... it was chilli ice cream! Yes, u read me right. Chilli ice cream!
Its probably an acquired taste though. All 3 of us din quite like it. It tastes pretty... garlic-ky. And u can actually feel the spicyness as u let it down ur throat.
