Parkway Parade Foodcourt Korean Stall

Take away from the korean food stall for mum....

the saba set.

Mum, for some reasons, love this stall's fried fish. Not sure why. I've tried it before, found it not bad. But not to the extent where i will have cravings for it. haha. i've previously also tried their mixed rice (duno the name for it).. dat one was not bad as well.

Tiong Bahru Porridge

We bought the Tiong Bahru porridge from Parkway Parade foodcourt.

we bought the pig intestine and century egg porridge.

I personally love their porridge as well. Their pig intestine is very clean and doesnt have any foul stench. Its deep fried and tastes real good when added in the porridge.

Chocz - Strawberry dipped chocolates

Went over to Chocz....

bought my favourite strawberry dipped in chocolates.

Medium sized ones costs 4 for $5.

I really like their strawberry dipped in chocolates. The strawberries are so sweet and the chocolate is just nice. *Thumbs up!*

Chinese - Koo Kee

Went for dinner with ah yee and uncle sq at Parkway Parade. I remember loh gong zai and kendi had previously recommended this Koo Kee lobster noodles. They said its cheap and yummy. So it was Koo Kee we went...

the interior...

the menu...

unfortunately, the lobster noodles were actually on promotion and are not available anymore!

Preserved vegetable was given as a starter..

In the end, we ordered....

Jelly fish with sesame oil.. ($3)

Its also served with cucumber slices. Tastes really good. The jelly fish is as Q as it needs to be.

Steamed juicy meat buns aka Xiao long bao .. ($5)

5 for $5.. pretty cheap eh? I found the skin a little thick (just a little, not very) but overall its pretty good.

the 'chup' is nicely intact inside..

we also shared a shrimp, pork and chive dumpling ($2.80)...

the white one is definitely chive while i couldnt quite tell the difference between the shrimp and pork. Taste wise was alright.

Ah yee also ordered a pan fried pork and vegetable bun ($3)...

this bun was quite nice...

the bottom is pan fried and the skin is soft and nice.

For mains, ah yee ordered the fried noodle with black pepper chicken ($12)...

the noodle was not bad, rather Q according to ah yee.

Uncle sq ordered a noodle with chicken soup ($6.80)...

It was not bad but i remember crystal jade has a similar item on their menu and their soup is much nicer.

as for myself, i ordered a noodle with minced meat and mushroom in spicy sauce ($5.80)...

Would say its rather value for money. Taste was not bad, the noodle was quite Q.

The entrance of the place....

The interior of the place...

their cakes selection....

Their chocolates selection....

and the cake box...

And ta da~ Chloe's birthday cake!

Its cinderella! Everyone crowded around and were raving about how beautiful the cake was. This cake costs $160+.

Chloe's lighted up birthday cake....

Its chocolate gateau....

a layer of chocolate cake, a layer of chocolate fudge.. rich chocolate fudge.. yummy yum yum!

Others - Bai Cao Wei

Got my drink from Bai Cao Wei....

Got 2 bottles...

namely the Sugar Cane with Water Chestnut drink and the Ginseng Chrysanthemum Tea.

the sugar cane with water chestnut was quite nice. Not too sweet and in a unique purple colour. Reminds me of the time when i was young and mummy used to brew water chestnut drink at home.

The ginseng chrysanthemum tea was abit different from the ones i'd normally have. But overall was not bad.

Japanese - Romankan Yokohama

I went to Romankan Yokohama @ Takashimaya level 1...

They have this original flavour tonkatsu sandwich at $3.

its a piece of toasted bread folded into two with lettuce, tomato, some mayo sauce and katsu..

The taste was not bad but i think it'll taste better if its warm.

Western - Checkers

Had supper at Checkers...

Again we were offered the free free flow soup.

The Chicken and Potato Soup....

It was quite nice! The western soup was cream of mushroom but it was not available.

Jack ordered a strawberry milkshake...

I ordered a tuna salad....

this is also one of the dishes i used to have when Checkers was still Dennys and it tastes exactly the same! The girls who had initially said they didn't want anything also began tucking in to share my salad. Lea agreed its really nice and yummy! The tuna goes very well with the fresh and cold vegetables.

And i ordered the surf and turf chicken (yes, again)..

The girls also tried this. Sonia and Diane loved the chicken.. they kept going " very nice.. very nice.. the chicken is very nice ". it even prompts them to wana come back again for dinner another day. I reminded them not to 'spread' this place. lol

Elyn and Lea on the other hand prefered the fish to the chicken. They find the fish really soft and yummy. The server came over and told us the fish is Dory. He also joked saying he always sees me taking pictures of the food before eating and he wondered if its because i wana open up a restaurant. He said if i am, to look for him and he'll help me get the chefs. haha...

Jeff ordered the omelette special...

inside the omelette...

inside is sausage and capsicum. Served with hashbrowns. The taste was not bad but im not a capsicum person. The hashbrown as mentioned before is somewhat like Marche's rosti (but maybe better). yummy~

Leoie ordered a Hammie Munch....

Its toasted bread with cheese, ham and a thick layer of egg...

its SO SO SO SO GOOD i tell u!! I had wanted to just steal a bite but i ended up stealing 3! hahaa..

It may be a simple dish but the combination was so good!

Desmond ordered a brownie deluxe....

It wasnt amazing but it was not bad.

Four Leaves - Black Forest

Leoie bought a cake for Diane...

Cake is from Four Leaves. He got a black forest cake....

After she 'cut' her cake and all, we began tucking into the cake using fork.. decided to use a more 'native' method...

the cake was really good. Sweetness level was just right. The cream didnt feel too rich... and the berries were juicy.
